The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
A representative for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was reached following an investigation into allegations of questionable actions directed at women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold more than 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
He has published in excess of 40 works combined, including a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
